About Becky
First elected in 2021, Becky brings three decades of legal and public-service experience to her work in the community and the province. As MLA for Lunenburg West, she has championed community-focused improvements such as:
- Legislation to help protect Cape Lahave Island
- Public-housing expansions and additional long-term-care rooms at Hillside Pines
- Upgrades to local infrastructure, including bridges and roads
- Improved mobility through public-transit investments
- Grant support for local fire departments
Before entering elected office, Becky spent 20 years as a lawyer advocating for people, organizations, and better public services. She has fought for individual needs – including securing changes in care-provider practices to better protect vulnerable clients with mental-health needs; represented businesses and organizations by providing strategic legal advice and leading complex litigation, labour, and dispute-resolution files and worked within government and large organizations to improve services, such as leading initiatives to expand access to nursing and home-care, and community-care programs.
Above all, Becky is committed to serving Lunenburg West and the Province with integrity, transparency, and a deep belief in the strength of community.
