About the Honourable Becky Druhan, MLA

The Honourable Becky Druhan serves as the Member of the Legislative Assembly for Lunenburg West.

First elected in August 2021, Becky brings to public service a strong legal background and deep community commitment — after practising law for nearly two decades and working in home‑and‑community care to expand nursing access and improve worker and client safety.

Professional and community achievements

In her role as MLA for Lunenburg West, she has spearheaded significant community‑driven investments such as:

  • New student residence options for the local NSCC campus;
  • Public‑housing expansions;
  • Long Term Care rooms additions at Hillside Pines;
  • Infrastructure upgrades (bridges, gravel and asphalt);
  • Enhanced mobility via public transit investments;
  • Grant support for local Fire Departments;
  • Legislation and regulation supporting the protection Cape Lahave Island

Education & personal background

Through her legal career prior to politics, Becky represented clients in contested litigation, labour‑relations and complex disputes, and provided pro‑bono legal support for children with disabilities to access vital services.

Becky earned a Bachelor of Arts (Dalhousie University) and a Bachelor of Laws (Schulich School of Law) and was called to the Nova Scotia bar in 2004.

She and her family live in Italy Cross and remain deeply connected with the South Shore community.
